The Messianic Hope

Israel wanted deliverance. The people were under oppression. They were looking for God's Anointed to come in power and deliver their nation. But they weren't looking for Jesus.  Although all of the prophecies indicated how Jesus would come, they weren't expecting him.  He was rejected by those who had been praying for his coming.  Like Israel, our hope even for today is that the Messiah will come, that a deliverer is coming to bring salvation to his people and peace to the earth.  He is our only hope.  Are you ready for that day?
