In Genesis Chapter 12, God begins his program of redemption through one man of faith. Abram, later named Abraham, leaves everything to follow God. Through this single man, God establishes an unconditional covenant. Abraham is given an everlasting promise. In his descendants, a new, holy nation will come. What does any of this have to do with us today? Through Abraham's covenant and in righteousness, all the faithful will also share in the same inheritance. God has promised a land for his children as an everlasting possession through his Seed, Jesus Christ, and God's promises are sure!
